Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals
Our SPCA Shop was started in 2006 to help
raise funds to support our outreach and welfare work. The
shop is stocked by donations of unwanted goods from our community
members and other animal lovers, and sold to raise money. The
shop is fully manned and managed by volunteers and every
donation therefore of direct benefit to animals in the
area.
The shop fulfils a multiple function in our community:
· Sales support the SPCA and benefit animals in our region;
· It provides a necessary service to the poorer community who can enrich their lives affordably;
· It is a fantastic way to recycle unwanted goods.
There is nothing that we cannot make use of. Our regular donations include clothes, linen, towels, curtains, kitchenware, building supplies, toys, jewellery, books, CD’s, bric-a-brac, toiletries, electronic equipment and others. We make use of all goods donated to us, either by selling them in our shop or passing specialist items on to auctions or specialist outlets to sell on our behalf.
